The 14th Annual John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest  October 4th-7th, 2017   Fairhope, AL

Alabama Gulf Coast is a prize location for bird watching, especially during the migration period. Birdfest began in the fall of 2004, and has attracted visitors from all over the country. This celebration is enjoyed by experienced bird enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Birdfest offers it’s visitors guided tours, evening dinner events, workshops and a free Bird and Conservation Expo. This festival is meant to encourage the appreciation of local and migrating birds, plant life, and other wildlife that share the beautiful place that some of us call home!

Although food is the true headliner of the National Shrimp Festival, the four day celebration truly has so much more to offer! This year along with musical acts sure to suite all visitors, the festival offers a sand sculpture contest, kid and family friendly activities, arts and craft vendors, a 10K and 5K, and much more. There’s a little something for everyone at Shrimpfest, and you couldn’t enjoy it at a better view! Located near the beautiful Gulf Shores beaches, this festival is definitely worth the trip!

10th Annual Oyster Cook Off and Craft Beer Weekend at The Hangout  November 3rd-4th, 2017  Gulf Shores, AL

The Hangout Oyster Cook-Off and Craft Beer Weekend offers it’s visitors the tastes and talents of local chefs, while enjoying the true essence of the stunning beach in beautiful Gulf Shores. This event also offers authors and book signing, tailgate tents with SEC Football games playing, dozens of craft beers, souvenirs, live music, and more! The Hangout remains a true classic for event holding on the Gulf Coast because of the beauty of the location and beach spirit of the visitors. 33rd Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival  November 9th-19th, 2017  Pensacola, FL

This festival is meant for songwriters and listeners alike, and travels to multiple venues during the ten days. Those who attend the festival are able to enjoy and up close and personal concert experience with nearly 200 different artists from all over the world. Some artists allow the opportunity for the guests to learn the stories behind the music, told directly from the author. Whether you are going for the music experience alone, or for more of a casual dinner and music outing, this festival offers a family-friendly atmosphere and an exciting musical adventure!
